Fournoi Korseon
Fourni is the largest island in a cluster of about 20 small islands, islets, and rocky formations in the Eastern Aegean, located south of Samos and east of Ikaria. The second largest island in the cluster is Thymaina, which has two settlements and several beaches.
With landscapes reminiscent of exotic destinations, Fourni is one of the few remaining unexplored paradises of the Aegean. Swimming and hiking are the main activities on the island, making it a small haven for nature lovers. The traditional white-and-blue houses with blooming courtyards, the picturesque cobblestone alleys, the windmills, and the serene atmosphere captivate visitors.
Chora is the capital and the center of the island, but it is also worth visiting other settlements such as Kambi, Chrysomilia, Kamari, and Agios Ioannis.
The island boasts numerous beaches, with some of the most notable being Chrysomilia, Agia Triada, Kamari, Bali, Psili Ammos, Kambi, Vlychada, Kasidi, and Petrokopio.
Travel agencies in Ikaria and Samos offer daily excursions to the island, where visitors can enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear waters and savor fresh fish and seafood in local taverns.
For those seeking tranquility, privacy, and relaxation, Fourni is the perfect choice.
