Chios

Chios is an island in the northeastern Aegean.
Since Chios is globally known for its mastic production, it is worth visiting the beautiful Mastic Villages (Mastihohoria) as well as the Kampos of Chios, where you can admire endless citrus orchards and some of the island’s most stunning mansions.

The capital and main port of the island is Chora, but Chios boasts 64 villages of exceptional beauty and medieval character. Notable among them are Mesta, which also serves as the island’s second port, Pyrgi, Anavatos, Kalamoti, Kardamyla, Lagada, Volissos, Chalkios, Karyes, and many others.

Chios has more than 90 beaches with breathtaking landscapes and crystal-clear waters, many of which remain unexplored and secluded. Some of the most famous ones include Mavra Volia, Agia Dynami, Agia Fotia, Agia Markella, Vroulidia, Komi, Lampsa and Nagos.
