Amorgos
Amorgos is a Cycladic island in the Aegean Sea, located at the southeastern edge of the Cyclades. A rugged and mountainous island, it has two ports: Katapola and Aegiali. Amorgos became widely known through the French film "Le Grand Bleu" (The Big Blue), and it is easy to see why it was chosen as a filming location.
The capital of Amorgos, Chora, built at an altitude of 350 meters, is considered one of the most beautiful in the Cyclades. However, the island’s other settlements are equally charming, including Aegiali, Katapola, Tholaria, Lagkada, Arkesini, Potamos, Xylokeratidi, Rachidi, Agios Pavlos, Kamari, Vroutsi, and Kalofana.
Amorgos’ beaches are truly unique, with deep blue, turquoise, and blue-green waters. Some of the most iconic ones include Agia Anna, Aegiali, Levrossos, Agios Pavlos, Kalotaritissa and Mouros.
